Cardionephrology is a specific entity, a branch of medicine in which structural theories converge with renal pathologies, cardiovascular diseases and dialysis techniques. Due to both research and results in the field, Cardionephrology is now opening up new horizons in the physiopathological mechanisms of the kidney-heart axis, and also in new ways of approaching old pathologies and therefore influencing clinical practice.
